Yes, a survey looks beyond the aesthetics and checks things like leaking radiators or problems with the sewers, the big issues that will cause problems and cost a lot of money to fix.

A mortgage survey, also known as a mortgage valuation, is geared toward the value of the house; it is not a full house survey. Our surveys are much more in-depth and thorough.

These are two very different things. A mortgage surveyor is working on behalf of the lender and is concerned with the capital value of the property. An independent surveyor like PDC is there to act in your best interest, to carry out an analysis of the property and advise you of any defects (problems) the property has which you should know about before purchasing. Many defects can run into thousands of pounds.

Absolutely! Quite often, a house that is refurbished for sale purposes can be done in a hurry, which often means corners are cut to get the job done. Please have a look at our gallery to see some examples.

This depends on the time of year; on average, about 2 weeks, but we also have a fast-track service if you need us out sooner. We will always work with you if you are under pressure.

No, once you decide you want to book us, then we can take care of the arrangements.

We can call you on the day of the inspection to let you know how it went. Otherwise, the written report can take a few days.

We've designed our reports so they are easy to understand, avoid jargon, and include lots of photographs. Plus, we'll always call you after you have had a chance to read the report to answer any questions and talk you through the next steps.

Just a 50% deposit secures your booking with us, and the remaining balance is due when the report is complete. We accept all major cards, and you can easily pay online.
