PDC were recommended to me to undertake a survey of a house I am buying. The property is old so it was important to get a good survey. I am very happy with the survey I received, its really comprehensive, explained things clearly and I found the use of photos really helpful. The report raised some structural issues which I am exploring further and am really grateful that it was so comprehensive. We were initially unsure about a survey as it is an extra cost on top of everything else when buying a home, however, after speaking with Martina we decided to go ahead and we are so glad we did. She worked with us to get the survey facilitated ASAP as we were near the end of the conveyancing process. The report was also issued to us very quickly and the level of detail the report went in to was amazing. It is obvious that both Martina and Paddy take great pride in their work. Our experience with Paddy and Martina was excellent from start to finish. Everything was made clear throughout the process which was highly efficient. The final report on the property gave a clear and detailed outline of the issues that could impact us in the short, medium and longer term and helped us make an informed decision. I would highly recommend the walk through visit as it highlighted issues that were brought out in the report and Paddy explained how these occured, available options on how to remediate or what next steps to take. We ultimately decided not to continue with the sale based on the report and walkthrough due to the extent of the issues. Without Paddy and Martina's expertise we may have run into many problems further down the line. The findings of the report made our decision much easier and we were comforted that our decision was informed and the right one for us. First-class service provided by PDC Surveyors, they couldn’t have done any more. Paddy went out of his way to accommodate our survey when I contacted him last minute and he got us fitted in the very next day. After the survey had been completed Paddy called me to discuss the findings and sent over the extensive album of photos he had taken whilst onsite. He went through every photo in detail and outlined what the issue was, recommended improvements and provided estimated costs for the repairs. An extremely professional and thorough service from start to finish, I couldn’t recommend PDC Surveyors highly enough and I’d definitely avail of their services again if I were to purchase another property.
